The Republic Electoral Commission held its fifth regular press conference on 21 June 2020 at 7 pm and reported the voter turnout by 6 pm.

The Director of the Republic Statistical Office Dr Miladin Kovacevic shared the voter turnout data obtained from 362 polling stations in 93 municipalities, according to which 40.82% of eligible citizens had taken the vote in the Republic of Serbia, without Kosovo-Metohija, by 6 pm, and about 42% of eligible citizens on the territory of Serbia with Kosovo-Metohija. 43.74% of eligible citizens had taken the vote in the region of Vojvodina, 43.68% in Sumadija and Western Serbia, 39.84% in the region of Southern and Eastern Serbia and 33.58% in the region of Belgrade. Per city, 37.04% of voters turned out in Novi Sad, 37.72% in Nis and 39.95% in Kragujevac.

The Chairperson of the Republic Electoral Commission Vladimir Dimitrijevic said that so far no major procedural irregularities have been reported and urged the voters to exercise their active voting right and take the vote in the remaining hour before the closure of the polling stations. He also announced the next press conference for 10 pm when the first preliminary results will be announced.

The press conference was also attended by the Secretary of the Republic Electoral Commission Srdjan Smiljanic.

In the current elections, total of 6,584,376 eligible citizens can exercise their right to vote at 8,433 polling stations.
