Second Regular Press Conference of the Republic Electoral Commission

At the second regular press conference, held on 25 October 2026 at 11:05, the Republic Electoral Commission announced that the voter turnout by 10 am on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, without Kosovo-Metohija, was 19.72% of the total number of registered voters.

The Director of the Republic Statistical Office Branko Josipovic reported the data on the voter turnout by 10 am according to which on the territory of the Republic of Serbia 19.72% of the total number of registered voters had taken the vote. In the region of Vojvodina, the voter turnout was 23.62%, in the region of Sumadija and Western Serbia 17.08%, the region of Southern and Eastern Serbia 17.40% and in the Belgrade region 20.46%.

The Chairperson of the Republic Electoral Commission Vladimir Dimitrijevic said that the voting has so far taken place in great many polling stations without incident or irregularities.

Dimitrijevic said that in the course of the election day the Republic Electoral Commission will hold regular press conferences so as to duly inform the public about the turnout and the developments at the polling stations, reiterating that since the opening of the polling stations the Republic Electoral Commission has maintained regular communication with the local electoral commissions, as have the local electoral commissions with the polling boards.

All the polling stations have been opened after the slight delay in the opening of some in the morning hours due to large crowds and high voter turnout. Dimitrijevic appealed to the members of the polling boards to be in strict compliance with the law, the instructions of the Republic Electoral Commission and to act exclusively according to them, to take care of the electoral material and that any destruction of electoral material is a criminal offence, as is the prevention of voters to take the vote at their polling station, once again reminding everybody that the vote is private and secret.

The press conference was also attended by the Secretary of the Republic Electoral Commission Srdjan Smiljanic.
