At the fifth regular press conference, held on 25 October 2026 at 5.05 pm, the Republic Electoral Commission reported that the voter turnout by 4 pm on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, without Kosovo-Metohija, was 56.38% of the total number of registered voters.
The Director of the Republic Statistical Office Branko Josipovic reported that by 4 pm the voter turnout on the territory of the Republic of Serbia was 56.38%. In the region of Vojvodina, the voter turnout was 58.76%, in the region of Sumadija and Western Serbia 55.29%, the region of Southern and Eastern Serbia 53.34% and in the Belgrade region 57.68%.
The Chairperson of the Republic Electoral Commission Vladimir Dimitrijevic said that the voting at the polling stations has been proceeding regularly so far. While there have been minor incidents and irregularities, the polling boards were able to resolve them; in cases where they could not, the Ministry of the Interior was notified, responded appropriately, and voting continued without further disruption.
Dimitrijevic emphasized that the Ministry of the Interior and the prosecution are taking all necessary measures regarding events occurring outside of the polling stations — matters over which the polling boards have no jurisdiction. He urged citizens to refrain from engaging in illicit activities outside of polling stations.
The Chairperson of the Republic Electoral Commission noted that at the polling station located within the Gerontology Centre in Mladenovac, unidentified individuals entered the premises claiming to be observers. They exerted improper pressure on the residents of the Gerontology Centre; the Ministry of the Interior was notified and is currently on-site.
The press conference was attended by the Secretary of the Republic Electoral Commission Srdjan Smiljanic.
The next press conference will be held at 7.05 pm.
